Educational Visits & Workshops
This half-term has seen our students explore history, budgeting, and design with some fantastic educational trips and workshops!

Diamond Class: Budgeting at Rokt!
Our students in Diamond Class travelled to Rokt to participate in an exciting financial literacy workshop. This real-world experience helped them understand essential skills like budgeting, saving, and making responsible financial decisions - a fantastic link to their real-life learning!

Emerald Class: Local History at Bolling Hall
Emerald Class had a fascinating visit to the historic Bolling Hall Museum . They explored local history, examined authentic artifacts, and gained a deeper appreciation for our areaβs past, perfectly complementing their classroom studies.

Amethyst Class: Designing the Perfect Smoothie
As part of their Design Technology unit, Amethyst Class got hands-on with food science by taking part in a smoothie workshop with Innocent Smoothies. They learned about healthy ingredients, experimented with different flavour combinations, and used blenders to create (and taste!) their own custom-designed drinks.

Ruby Class: Unlocking Ancient Egypt
Ruby Class took a trip to Leeds City Museum for an immersive workshop on Ancient Egypt. They handled replicas, deciphered hieroglyphs, and learned about the daily life and powerful pharaohs of this fascinating civilisation, bringing their history lessons to life.

Diamond Class: Time Travel to Jorvik
Diamond Class had another enriching trip, this time travelling back in time to the Viking city of Jorvik in York. As part of their History unit on Vikings, they experienced the sights, sounds, and even smells of the past, gaining a vivid understanding of Viking life in Britain.

Sporting Success: Team Beckfield Shines!
We are incredibly proud of the effort and teamwork shown by our students in recent sporting competitions.

Girls' Football Triumph!
A massive congratulations to our KS2 Girls Football team who played brilliantly and won their recent tournament! They demonstrated superb skill, determination, and sportsmanship, returning to Beckfield with a well-deserved trophy!

Benchball Competition
A group of our dedicated KS2 students represented the school in an exciting benchball competition. They showed fantastic energy, strategic play, and great team spirit. Well done to all the players for giving it their absolute best!

House Day Challenge: Moon Colony Mission!
Our recent House Day saw the whole school come together for an incredibly exciting Skills Builder Challenge!
Students from every year group, working collaboratively in their House Teams, were tasked with the ultimate mission: setting up a new community on the Moon!
The challenge required them to apply essential skills like Problem Solving (figuring out air, water, and shelter), Teamwork (delegating roles and sharing ideas), and Creativity (designing their lunar base).
It was inspiring to see the creativity and collaborative spirit on display as students debated the best location for their base, designed essential equipment, and presented their settlements. A huge well done to all our students for embracing the challenge with such enthusiasm!

Spooky Fun: Halloween Celebrations!
We ended the half-term with some frightfully fun celebrations!

KS1 Halloween Discos
Our Key Stage 1 students showed off their spooky costumes and dazzling dance moves at the Halloween Discos! The hall was filled with little ghosts, witches, superheroes, and giggling monsters who all had a fantastic time boogieing to the music.

KS2 Film Night: The Addams Family
Key Stage 2 enjoyed a chillingly cozy Halloween Film Night. They settled down to watch the classic movie, The Addams Family, while enjoying delicious hot dogs and snack packs. It was a great evening of film fun and a perfect way to end the half-term!
